Project Announcement — Creating My First Online Course
Creating an empowering resource for aspiring entrepreneurs.
Hello everyone! I have some thrilling news to share with you all. In the coming four to six months, I'll be embarking on an exciting adventure as I work on launching my online course. As many of you know, sharing insights on entrepreneurship, productivity, and personal development is something I truly love, and it's the reason this blog exists.
While I've openly discussed my passion for sharing knowledge, I've kept a hidden dream close to my heart. Someday, near retirement (maybe), I always envisioned becoming an MBA lecturer. However, developing an online course was never on my radar.
As someone who has often criticized the educational system and its shortcomings for entrepreneurs, I find myself facing a new challenge: creating a course that offers real value and practical knowledge.
The primary reason I'm sharing this journey publicly is to create an extra sense of accountability. Secondly, I would like to co-create the course with all of you. I wholeheartedly welcome your ideas, criticisms, and feedback to shape this course into something extraordinary.
What Will The Course Be About?
I still have not decided on what the title of the course will be. It is often the case with all my blog posts, so I am pretty comfortable with this fact. I will know once the content is finalized.
Regarding the genre, it will be Entrepreneurship. I am having my sister as the main persona, Renata.
She is an extremely creative and entrepreneurial 21-year-old and a fellow of the Anzisha Prize by the African Leadership Academy as one of the most prominent young entrepreneurs in Africa under the age of 22.
Renata has always been a prolific student and very ambitious. She started selling clothes at 15 and after high school, earned a Bachelor's in Business Administration, and in-between moved from Namibia to South Africa to pursue a certification from one of the top fashion design schools in the continent, Villioti Fashion Institute.
As you can see, I am not only a proud older brother but also someone she entrusts to answer a ton of questions regarding her business, RS Clothing, and her future in business, especially on how can she learn and build the skills required to scale and make a living out of her business.
The goal of the course is to answer such questions, for Renata and anyone planning to start a business.
What Will Make It Especial?
It will be personal and I am deploying my whole heart to it
It will be designed within the African context
It will be evidence-based and contain additional resources
As I embark on this journey, I am filled with excitement and a touch of nervousness. Your support and collaboration will be invaluable in shaping this course into an empowering resource for all aspiring entrepreneurs.
